You’ve probably heard this story or a version of it and it might be more good than true. But it’s still a story worth telling.

The couple goes to concert hall to hear a master pianist with their curious and adventure some little daughter. Both parents got preoccupied as it often happens, while they expected their spouse to be watching their daughter. In that brief moment when the defenses were down, she makes a break for the stage. And the concert hall’s security overlooked the diminutive stage crasher, who hopped on stage and made her way to the grand piano. Sitting down at the piano she starts to play the only thing she knows, chopsticks. Her parents immediately knew why such a simple ditty was filling the hall. Their curious little girl. They quickly made their way to stage, just as the pianist stepped out from behind the curtain to see this little girl sitting at his piano. Walking behind her, he whispers into her ear, “Just keep playing.” He reaches his arm around her tiny body, places his hands on the keys and begins to play along with her, taking the simple ditty she’s playing and turning it into a masterpiece.

Many of you are tired because doing Kingdom work is just plain hard. And to you, I wonder if God reaches his arms around you and whispers, “Just keep playing.”

Many are overwhelmed because the obstacles are seemingly insurmountable. The challenge seems to great. And to you, I wonder if God reaches his arms around you and whispers, “Just keep playing.”

Many are on empty because what you are laboring for just doesn’t seem to be happening. The person doesn’t seem to ever change. You don’t ever seem to change. And to you, I wonder if God reaches his arms around you and whispers, “Just keep playing.”
Just keep playing because God has a way of turning your efforts, the simple little ditties you play, into his masterpiece.
1 Cor 15:58 “… your work in the Lord is not in Vain”
